I've been doing some Joomla sites lately, and have been impressed with its power and flexibility.  I havn't made any major design changes to my personal site for more than a few years, so why not use Joomla for a makeover?  I've been experimenting with some of the publically available componets and finding some real treasures.

Joomla started out as a good idea a year ago, but hasn't deviated too much from Mambo until now.  But it looks like they are finally starting to take things in a more progressive direction.  I'm looking forward to version 1.5, which will be supporting tableless layouts by default.

So enjoy the new site, and let me know what you think.

Phil
